According to the "Post-War Colt Single Action Army" book by Garton, only 65 Second Generation nickel Buntlines were manufactured. They show the last ten being made in 1962; here we have what absolutely appears to be a factory nickel gun made in 1970 that is not in the book. It may have been a special order and not recorded or it may have been returned to the factory and nickel plated, but there are no restoration stars anywhere on revolver and finish appears to be 100% factory. It is our suggestion that buyer spend the money and send for a factory letter, as this is among the five rarest Single Action Armies ever manufactured. That said, the revolver remains in unfired condition with full factory nickel finish. Rosewood grips that are also not standard Colt. Factory letter may reveal some definitive answers. CONDITION: Gun shows only light handling marks and a light drag line. We are simply selling this as what appears to be a Colt nickel finished Buntline.
