Made in 1980, this dainty little .410 gauge shows fine engraving by Morelli. It is a single trigger, self cocking hammer gun made with automatic ejectors. The straight grip buttstock is of nicely figured European walnut and is checkered in a two point pattern through the wrist with tear drops behind locks, terminating in a finely checkered butt. Semi-beavertail forend is checkered in two point pattern with engraved Anson type push button release and gold makers monogram at center. Forend iron is nicely engraved in well executed shaded floral scroll engraving. Chopper lump barrels with serial number, makers name, and names of workmen who built this gun on lug: Dante, Mario, Poli, Gian, Remo, and Tony. The lockplates are finely polished with line border. The action is nicely floral scroll engraved. Bottom of action is engraved in large script letters "A & S". Triggerplate is line engraved with very beautiful and ornate floral scroll engraving, engravers signature "Morelli" found near trigger guard bow. This pattern continues on to the beaded trigger guard bow and long tang. Top of action shows racy carved ovals that are polished surrounded by near full coverage floral scroll which extends on to top tang and top lever. Hammers are finely filed and engraved. Barrel blue is almost purple in color and does have some minor losses near breach. Housed in its original brown leather case with red velvet interior with proper makers label on interior. CONDITION: Extremely fine. This gun was ordered new by our consignor and appears factory test fired only. It remains in extremely fine condition overall with the exception of some small areas near the breech end of the left barrel that shows some flaking in the blue. The remainder of the gun shows almost no use and retains virtually all of its factory original finishes throughout. Mechanics are crisp. Bores are brilliant and shiny. Case is very good with some marks and soiling. Oil bottle shows heavy tarnish. Imagine this gun on a quail hunt!
