Manufactured in 1916 with blue finish, two piece American walnut stocks, checkered steel shotgun butt, and as a takedown. Chambered for the .35 Winchester cartridge and mounted with the Model 21 "Climbin-Lyman" side sight. Five shot fixed magazine. Redfield blade front sight. The rear sight slot has a period sight blank installed. CONDITION: Very fine with over 90% bright factory blue finish remaining on receiver. Barrel retains 97% factory blue finish with crisp legible legends. The two piece American walnut stocks are very fine with most all factory varnish intact with very slight losses on forearm from light handling and use. The bore is bright and shiny with sharp lands and grooves. The action is excellent, tight and functions properly. The lever finish has flaked slightly and 40% finish remains with balance turning patina. The rifle take/down option remains very tight when put together and shows little use. This is a very fine example of the classic Winchester 1895 rifle.
