This crudely made Revolutionary War hanger has a slightly curved single fuller blade with 7-1/4" false edge, probably English. The simple cast iron guard has a stirrup hilt, flat integral pommel cap, and a small quillon. The grip is octagonal and of bone. CONDITION: Blade has been partially cleaned and has some dark heavy patina, a few battle nicks on edge. Hilt retains a dark patina and grip is yellowed with one minor chip at pommel on left side. A nice American made sword.
