Factory research revealed no information. These little takedown short barrel rifles were offered at the turn of the century when bicycling was becoming all the rage. They were always a special order and very few seem to have been made; examples are quite difficult to locate. Features octagon barrel, full magazine, takedown, sporting rear sight, Rocky Mountain front sight, blued finish, case colored hammer, walnut stocks, and Marlin monogrammed black buttplate. CONDITION: Tube is a pleasing plum-brown. Balance of metal, including lever, retain 95% of the reapplied blued finish. The bluing was done in a Marlin style with sharp edges as well as the top barrel legend. Case colors on hammer have darkened. Walnut stocks are excellent and proud to metal with some added varnish. Bore has visible rifling but minor abrasions in the grooves. Comes with modern leather sheath.
