This pair of authenticated Single Action Colt revolvers manufactured by EMF with their original drop loop holsters and pistol belt were used by the famed actor Powers Boothe depicting "Curly Bill" Brocius in the 1993 American classic western movie Tombstone. The film is based on the events surrounding the famed "OK Corral" shootout with Lawman Wyatt Earp, Doc Holiday, and the notorious outlaw gang "The Cowboys". Curly Bill was the unofficial leader of The Cowboys clan and is depicted as being a savage murderer and all around bad "Hombre". This pair of .45 Colt chambered 7-1/2 inch Colt Single action revolvers were manufactured by EMF and come with documentation from Caravan West Productions. Caravan West supplied the firearms for this epic movie and included are copies of the original invoices from EMF to Caravan West Productions that list the guns by serial number. The revolvers are housed in a pair of drop loop holsters with belt custom produced for the movie by R. Gang Sylmar CA, and are so marked. These holsters and guns are pictured on page 25 of the book "TOMBSTONE, THE GUNS AND GEAR" authored by Peter Sherayko. Peter Sherayko is the owner of Caravan West. This grouping also comes with one of the original Red Sashes worn by "Curly Bill" during the filming of the movie. A copy of the movie script with the name C. Nelson penned inside also accompanies this historic lot. Further documentation is a 2-page letter on Caravan West stationary signed by Peter Sherayko explaining the custody trail of these items, listing the guns by serial number, and describing the gun rig in great detail. It appears the guns were used for traveling, movie promotion, and later housed for future use and eventually forgotten about for many years. CONDITION: Very good overall with over 70% blue finish remaining on barrel, grip straps, cylinder, and ejector rod housing. Bores are very good with bright sharp rifling. The actions are crisp and properly functioning. The one piece walnut grips have numerous small scratches and bruises with slight chipping at bottoms. These guns have a well used and authentic Western look and display well. The holsters are very fine with the leather being well oiled and supple. The silver Conchos are slightly tarnished with a small amount of verdigris growing on the edges. The sash is very good with several very minor loose threads and the tassel bottoms are fully intact. The softbound copy of the book "TOMBSTONE, THE GUNS AND GEAR" is near new and is signed by the author on its front page. The copy of the movie script is very fine with very slight edge fray at corners. This is truly a piece of classic American movie memorabilia that is impossible to duplicate. A very rare offering!
