Made with Hunter One Trigger, auto-ejectors, and non-auto safety. Gun has a capped pistol grip buttstock that is checkered in two point pattern through the wrist and terminates with a replacement modern Silvers type pad. Fluid steel barrels with matted tapered concave game rib which has brass front bead. Splinter forend is checkered in three point pattern with triangular ebony tip and banjo roll type release. Action is engraved in typical grade 2 pattern with quail in circle on right and duck in pond in circle on left surrounded by light scroll work. CONDITION: Very good. Action retains more than 20% original color with some light staining. Incipient grain checks behind locks as is most often seen on L.C. Smiths. The barrels retain about 90% of an old reblued finish. Trigger guard retains most of an older reblue with subsequent toning. Bores are good with only minor orange peel. Stock retains most of an older restored finish, though checkering remains unchanged, and has some handling marks throughout.
