Made with Krupp Fluid steel barrels which have a concave matted rib and steel front bead. Breech end of rib inscribed "Krupp Fluid Steel / Baker Gun & Mfg. Co.". Gun has double triggers, extractors, and non-auto safety. All numbers matching. The buttstock is a capped pistol grip with multi-point checkering through the wrist and wave pattern at grip, terminating with Baker Gun Co. monogrammed buttplate. Forend is finely checkered with diamond at center and two level horn tip. Action is nicely engraved in typical Paragon grade pattern with two setters on point on left lock with light scroll and quail towards front. Bottom of action is nicely scroll engraved. Right lock is engraved with two pointers in scene and quail at front of lock surrounded by light scroll work. CONDITION: Very good and partially restored. Barrels retain about 95% of what appears to be their original blued finish. The receiver has been mostly cleaned to almost bright with about 25% original color remaining. Trigger guard appears to have been reblued long ago and retains most of that finish. Buttstock with repairs behind top tang on both sides which extends from locks to back of top tang and butt retains most of a restored finish, with the probability that one of today's wood craftsman can make the break invisible with some effort. Forend with restored finish. These Paragon guns don't come around everyday! Scarce gun.
