30" Dovetailed barrels fitted with slightly raised, flat, matted rib are engraved "W&C Scott & Son" "THE MONTE CARLO B" and with makers address on tops. Barrel flats are stamped with Birmingham nitro proofs for 1-1/4 oz of shot (2-3/4"). Square backed sidelock action has had safety removed, and features square crossbolt third fastener and double triggers. Action is engraved with 80% coverage small scroll surrounding makers name on each plate, as well as scenes of flying pigeons. Scroll engraved trigger guard has serial number on tang which also has castle logo. Well marbled and nicely figured stump European walnut long round knob pistol grip buttstock measures 14-5/8" over Silver type pad. Stock features classic drop points, point pattern checkering on semi diamond hand, and vacant silver oval on toe line. Matching short ejector forend has Scott's patented lever release. CONDITION: Good to very good. Barrels retain most of an old re-black with splotches of cleaned oxidation and silvering. Action is silver grey to brown with traces of original color where protected. Stocks have worn old oil finish with numerous marks, checkering considerably worn. There is a 2" x 1/4" piece missing at front left barrel channel at forend. Bores are good, shiny, lightly pitted throughout with a slight bulge 12" from breech end of right barrel. Action is tight. Barrels are on face. Ejectors are in time. MGM 126 CORRECTION: Shotgun shows a pressure crack from the top of the rear tang down the left side to the lower tang screw. The right ejector is live.
