(1909) 32" barrels are marked with Parker Brothers name and Meriden address, along with "ACME STEEL" on standard, concave, matted rib. All correct markings are on barrel flats and lumps. Case hardened number 2 size action with non-automatic safety and double triggers is engraved in typical "C" style. This engraving consists of 80% coverage scroll within geometric borders with oval vignettes of dogs on sides; pointing pointer on left, and alert setter on right. "PARKER BROS" is in riband at rear of each side. A group of five ducks fly across trigger plate. Trigger guard with scroll on bow has serial number on tang. Nicely streaked and lightly figured European walnut straight grip buttstock measures 14 - 1/4" over open sided Hawkins pad. Stock features typical lozenge shaped drop points, semi fancy border checkering that wraps over top of grip, and a vacant silver oval on toe line. Splinter forend with new wood has usual shaped steel tip and Deeley type release. Ejector patent date is on iron. Gun matches specs in Parker ledger. 410 12 gauge "C" grade hammerless guns were made with Acme barrels, 93 were 32" long. CONDITION: Fine, as refinished. Barrels retain nearly all of a good quality rust re-blue. Action retains 80% of a correctly colored re-hardening, engraving just a touch soft. Buttstock nicely refinished and checkering very cleanly re-cut. Forend with new wood matches well. Bores are excellent, with a few scratches. Action is tight. Barrels are on face. Ejectors are slightly out of time. Trigger pulls are very light. MGM 143.
