Dating to the turn of the century, this original cartridge board features numerous English express cartridges including the .450, .500, and .577 cartridges. These rifle cartridges are surrounded by all of the contemporary English revolver cartridges of the time, with the largest being the .476 and also displays the four pinfires from 7mm to 15mm. The bottom row are Spencer built copper-clad rimfire cartridges. Second from bottom row is a mix of Winchester and English cartridges. The board and the red wood liner are 100% original. Board measures 19" W x 25" T. CONDITION: All original cartridges are intact. Board shows some light soiling and there is a 3" x 4" area where the original toning has been cleaned into the white area on the upper right side; it does not affect any of the cartridges or the printing. It is beautifully framed and ready to hang. A highly desirable collectors item with the large African express calibers. Accompanied by the brother to this cartridge board showing shotshells; both are the same size and identically framed.
