Made in 1925, this is one of 63 guns made in this rare configuration. Made on a #3 frame, this gun remains in incredible original condition! It has double triggers, auto-ejectors, and non-auto safety. Splinter forend with engraved Deeley release and steel tip is checkered in diamond pattern. Capped pistol grip buttstock is checkered in two point pattern through the wrist with nickel shield near toe and terminates in a mushroomed and deteriorated Silvers type pad (what's left of it, anyway!). The case colored action is engraved in typical P Grade pattern with light scroll and marked "Parker Bros." on sides. CONDITION: Exceptionally fine, perhaps the finest of this type and model this cataloger has examined. Barrels retain 95-97% of their original blued finish with only light handling marks, and a some scratches from safe wear out towards the muzzle. Stocks are sound and retain more than 95% of their original finish with minor handling marks. Action retains nearly all of its bold original case colors throughout. Trigger guard retains about 75% original blue, having flaked at grip, but nice and bright on bow. The action is tight, bores are bright and shiny, and mechanics are crisp. Breech face shows almost no shell markings as this gun was likely test fired only. As mentioned above, this is easily one of the nicest all original PHE 10 gauge guns this cataloger has seen and it would be virtually impossible to improve upon in a lifetime of collecting.
