This pistol represents the first gun off the assembly line manufactured by USFA under the original blue dome. Resembles and is stamped like the 1911 US Navy. Left side of frame has the latest patent date of December 19th, 1905 with "USFA MFG CO HARTFORD CONN USA" on left side of slide and "US" in oval at rear. Frame is stamped "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" with a "1". Right side of frame is stamped "MODEL OF 1911 US NAVY". It is interesting to note that they used the round top, diamond checkered walnut grips of Model 1910 design on a 1911; has the round top and small screws. Gun is finished in the beautiful two-tone blue with high polished small parts to include 1910 style short, smooth trigger; checkered spur hammer, checkered slide stop and safety, smooth backstrap and loop. Has the third style rear sight with beveled edges and square notch. CONDITION: Gun is in near new condition inside and out with a light rub on the blued barrel and a touch of wear high edge front of slide. There is no takedown line. Comes in original box. Do not know if regular production guns have 1910 parts as we have not seen another like this example.
