Considered the best and finest made AK-type rifle ever produced, the Valmet line was the first civilian AK Model imported into this country from Finland. It was original designed as a fully automatic rifle, but by the late 60's Valmet imported seven AK Models in semi-automatic only to the American civilian market. Majority of those imported were the Model 76. This example features a stamped receiver and a fixed wood stock. They were manufactured from 1976 to 1986 and importation was banned in 1989. They featured the highest quality fit and finish of any AK-47. Those imported by Elmsford of New York have the beer key logo on left side of receiver. This rifle has matching serial number. Finished in military matte finish. Features black composite forend and pistol grip, flip-up front sight, and pronged muzzle break. Rifle comes with one original magazine and sling. CONDITION: Near new condition inside and out with just some light handling wear.
