This is serial No. 7 of the 100th Anniversary World War I Model 1911; it is stamped on the right side of frame "MODEL OF 1911 - 2011". The serial number is 00071911. Left side of frame is stamped "ADOPTED MARCH 29 1911 UNITED STATES ARMY" with Colt address and pony in circle at rear. Left side of frame is stamped "UNITED STATES PROPERTY". This is a faithful reproduction of the standard World War I Model featuring the brushed blue finish, beveled rear sight with U notch, checkered wide spur hammer, checkered slide stop and safety, long smooth trigger, flat mainspring housing with loop, and diamond checkered walnut grips. CONDITION: As new condition, unfired. Comes with factory letter listing all of the above information. Made for a Colt employee. It is interesting that it has a red tag reading "COLT WORLD WAR II REPRODUCTION PISTOL" but it is definitely World War I. Comes in original box with all paperwork and one extra magazine.
