This serial No. 3 is a near exact reproduction of a World War I Colt US Army Model 1911. Features include brushed blue finish, beveled edge U notch rear sight, checkered wide spur hammer, checkered slide stop and safety, smooth flat mainspring housing with loop, diamond checkered walnut grips, and long smooth trigger. Stampings on the left side of slide and frame are exactly like an original with last patent date of August 19th, 1913 with pony at rear and even the "JMG" John M. Gilbert inspector stamp on left side of frame. CONDITION: Pistol is as new in box, unfired, with all paperwork and two extra magazines. Comes with a red Model 1911 tag and a reproduction 1917 description book put out by Government Ordnance.
