Winchester factory records indicate this gun was made for Marion D. Reavis, and finished on January 9, 1969. It is listed as a "custom grade" with 26" barrels, choked skeet and skeet, with non-automatic safety, pistol grip stock, skeet style beavertail forend, Monte Carlo comb. This gun retains all of those features including a special order gold inlaid birds on flat sides of action, flanked by typical "custom grade" scroll engraving with flush gold inlaid flying pheasant on left, and pointing pointer on right. XXX crotch figured American walnut capped pistol grip buttstock with Monte Carlo comb measures 13 - 3/4" over Winchester white line pad. A gold oval on toe line is engraved "M. D. R" and milled out portion of ventilated rib is engraved "CUSTOM BUILT BY WINCHESTER FOR MARION D. REAVIS". CONDITION: Excellent, very close to new, with only a few very light handling and assembly marks in all original factory finishes. Mechanically excellent. The only change from original specifications is length of pull with factory records indicating 14 - 1/4". No mention is made of butt type. A classy Model 21. MGM146.
