27 - 5/8" barrels are engraved "Francotte's Arms Co Liege" on rear portion of matted game rib. Hercules Krupp steel logos are on breech ends. Barrel flats are stamped with Belgian black powder proofs and with "AF" crowned logos. Top lever action is fitted with bar locks having round bodied serpentine hammers. Action and locks are engraved with near full coverage nicely cut large open shaded scroll. This scroll surrounds gold inlaid scenes of hounds and fox on left, and hounds and rabbit on right. Bottom of action has pair of pheasant in gold. A small gold head of a fox is on top lever. Trigger guard is of horn. Nicely streaked European walnut capped pistol grip buttstock measures 14" over ribbed horn buttplate, and features a right hand cheekpiece. Matching splinter forend has Deeley release. Gun is fitted with a leather carrying strap. CONDITION: Fair. Barrels have old re-black over considerable pitting. Action cleaned to gray brown. Stocks have old finish over sanding marks and other scratches and dings, checkering worn smooth. 2" x 1" piece of replaced wood at top right horn of stock and repaired crack on left side. Bores are considerably pitted. Action is loose. Locks mushy, hammer spurs replaced. MGM 200
