Magnificence in miniature was how these wonderful 1/2 scale semi-automatic interpretations of the famed 1919 belt fed machine guns were referred to in 1986 by "Small Arms Review" upon their introduction. Serial number 0113. Caliber .22 rimfire. 17" barrel. Includes miniature replica tripod, T&E, two miniature ammo cans with two synthetic belts, and a green felt lined wooden crate complete with tech-manual. Action operates smoothly when cycled by hand. Tripod also functional. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish is excellent. Near 95% with slight spotting on barrel shroud and top cover, tripod also in the high 90%. Although this weapon has been fired, it is very clean. Bolt face and bore are both excellent. Crate and cans are in very fine to extremely fine condition. Belts are in excellent condition. Some slight evidence of corrosion on T&E. A beautiful example of miniature workmanship and would make a wonderful display piece without taking up as much space and a joy to shoot. Collectors should take note of the other two Tippman miniatures with the exact same serial number offered elsewhere in this sale.
