The Serial No. 49974 indicates a manufacture date circa 1892, only a few years into business for the National Cash Register Company. It has 30 keys and a beautiful, fine scroll design to the bright yellow brass cabinet. The underside of the drawer does not have the Guarantee sticker. All of the metal number tags that appear behind glass are clean with nearly perfect lettering. The top sign reads "This Registers the Amount of your Purchase."
