One of the all time great classic combinations is the pre-64 Winchester, considered the greatest bolt action of all time, combined with the classic .375 Holland & Holland Magnum cartridge. Features the heavy round barrel, two leaf folding rear sight, ramp front sight with hood, matte finish frame, pistol grip checkered walnut stock with original Winchester solid red buttplate and sling swivels. CONDITION: Barrel retains approximately 90% of the factory brilliant blue finish with sharp legends. Does have some scattered handling wear, some muzzle wear, and some areas on top of barrel where finish has rubbed off, probably from a gun rack. Frame is 99%. Floor plate is 99%. Trigger guard has some edge wear. Stock is excellent with sharp checkering and some of the usual handling marks. The bolt appears to have been re-etched to matching number as the style is not quite right. It is still a proper fitting bolt with the proper cuts. Action is fine. Bore has distinct sharp lands, shiny grooves. This gun is nice enough to be collectible but shows enough wear that you would not be afraid to take it on a big game hunt anywhere in the world. A true classic American rifle.
