Lot consists of (A) Butternut tunic dates to around the Spanish American War with belt and eagle buttons. CONDITION: Excellent condition. (B) White Pith style helmet with original label inside from Philadelphia Horstman Bros with ID tag inside to a Geo Rundlett. Emblazoned with a small "4" on front. CONDITION: Good, dirty with numerous stains from use. Some chipping and nips to interior. (C) Mills canvas trapdoor belt with two rounds of .45-70. CONDITION: Good, some patination to brass, some stains and toning. (D) Knapsack marked "4 / A / U.S. / SS". CONDITION: Good, with some stains and marks from age and use. Leather with extensive crazing but complete. Some tarnishing and verdigris to brass. (E) Spanish American War veterans medal in two pieces. American flag ribbon has given at bottom, leaving medal in two parts. CONDITION: Good, heavy tarnish. (F) Grouping of chevrons, cavalry shoulder pins, buttons. CONDITION: Fair. Chevrons have chipping and areas of loss. Buttons are good with some tarnishing. Shoulder pins are good but could a thorough cleaning. (G) Period cased cropped CDV of Spanish American War soldier in uniform. CONDITION: Image is clear. Case has scuff marks with separation along seam. CORRECTION: This lot does not include a mess kit.
