(1998) 29 - 1/2" mono-bloc barrels are fitted with narrow, ventilated rib. Perazzi information is on left ejector bolster. Barrel flats are stamped with 1998 Italian nitro proofs for 2 - 3/4" chambers. Coin finished MX8 over/under action with removal V-spring trigger group has gold plated internals, and features non-automatic safety and single non-selective trigger. Action is engraved with near full coverage bursts of flowers within a field of small scroll as counterpoint to nicely rendered Bulino game scenes; group of chukar partridge flush off a hillside over croplands on left side of action, and a trio of quail flush from long grass on right. Bottom of action portrays a pair of mallards settling into a swamp with cattails in foreground. Engravers signatures "Bottega C. Giovanelli" and "Inc Dan. Cortini" are on right side of trigger group mortise. Blued trigger guard, trigger plate, and top lever have matching floral and scroll. Well veined and lightly figured European walnut straight grip buttstock measures 14 - 1/2" over thin black leather covered pad. Well cut point pattern checkering is at grip, and a gold oval engraved "RAJ" is on toe line. Matching slim field forend has Deeley type release. Gun is housed in red ABS Perazzi embossed case lined in dark olive corduroy. Case contains stock removal tool, four Briley choke tubes, and wrench (2 tubes in gun). CONDITION: Excellent, very close to new with evidence of casual field use, with firing halos on breechface. There are only a few very minor marks in all factory finishes. Mechanically excellent. Case is excellent. A new MX 20 SCO retails for over $30,000.00. MGM169.
