Oil on canvas. Signed lower-right "O'DWYER". An original commerical art painting circa 1953 for the Tullamore distillery in Tullamore, County Offaly Ireland, established 1829. The blended whiskey presented by the advertisement was originally developed by the distillery's manager, Daniel E. Williams, whose initials, D. E. W., comprise the name of the Irish Whiskey. The distillery closed in 1954 and reopened in 2014. Very fine untouched surface with no inpainting. Original label for Rourke & O'Dwyer, Signmakers. Clondakin, Dublin affixed to rear of painting.
