According to the factory letter, this pistol was part of a five gun shipment sent on April 27th, 1914 to Krakauer, Zork & Moye Company of El Paso, Texas. The grips are not listed, which would indicate dealer applied. These are referred to by collectors as the "Long Slide" Model .38, and this example is the military type with square butt and lanyard loop. Finished in the famous Colt high polish blue finish with case colored spur hammer. Pearl grips have the deep inset Colt gold medallions. CONDITION: Gun retains approximately 85% of the bright factory finish with light overall high edge wear and some light thinning on left side. The left grip has a crack at the medallion, running left to right, that needs to be carefully repaired. Near mint bore and fine action. A lovely, Texas shipped high condition Long Slide.
