This group is identified to Miss Madeline C Lowrey who served with the American Red Cross as a nurses aide in Vladivostok Siberia. Group consists of: Wool tunic with Red Cross collar insignia, enameled Red Cross and "ARC" shoulder strap insignia, standing bear Siberia AEF patch, left cuff with felt red cross and service stripe. Pinned to the chest are two American Red Cross Service medals one with enamel damage and a British Red Cross War Service Medal. Interior of the tunic displays the embroidered initials "ML": Matching skirt, inked in the waist band "Lowrey": Woven straw hat with Paris makers label, exterior with blue silk band and American eagle insignia: White cotton blouse: Pair high top leather shoes: Photo copies of two Red Cross reports dated August 23, 1919 and September 9, 1919 mentioning Madeline Lowrey. Uniform shows a few areas of wear, one shoe is damaged near its top, but group is generally in very good condition. Very rare Red Cross group from the North Russia theater of operations.
