Pinned to the chest is a split brooch, numbered, BB&B contract Silver Star, named on the reverse "David Brown", a Victory Medal with "Aisne", Champagne-Marne", "St. Mihiel", "Meuse-Argonne" and "Defensive Sector" bars and an Expert Rifleman badge.
