32-1/2" Damascus barrels have ribbed breech section and are totally unmarked as to maker or proofs. A beech replacement ramrod is held by two plain pipes, rear with sling eye. Heavy breeches have engraving on rib extension. Breech iron is scroll engraved as are front spring locks with very tall chamfered serpentine hammers. Trigger guard is also scroll engraved. Plain European walnut straight grip stock measures 14 - 1/4" over steel buttplate. Grip and front part of forend are checkered. Stock attaches to barrels with sliding bolt through oval steel escutcheons. CONDITION: Good. Barrels have old light brown finish. All other metal parts cleaned to silver with some scattered pitting. Stock has old oil finish. There is a brazed line between Damascus of left barrel and breech section. Front portion of stock has replaced bits of wood. Bores are good, rusted. Locks operable. MGM179.
