Although retaining no original finish, serial number 200 is an extremely crisp and very attractive example of an early 2nd Model LeMat. The 6 - 3/4" octagonal barrel is crisply stamped "Systeme Le Mat Bti sgdg Paris". Clear serial number 200. Incredibly, the loading lever appears to be entirely original. Most are replaced. Trigger stamped 200 as well. CONDITION: The cylinder, while retaining no finish, is extremely crisp as are the ten nipples. The hammer has its original shotgun striker. The frame is clean and crisp. Grips show traces of what appears to be original varnished, great checkering, and engraved screw escutcheon. Gun has been polished by a professional and is crisp enough to appear to appear to have been finished in the white. The hammer has a stress fracture just below the shotgun pivot screw. Use extreme caution when dry firing. Action is excellent, bore is extremely fine. This is a great, full dimension, all original second model LeMat. CORRECTION: Caliber: (A) .42 Rifled (B) 16 Bore
