Full or partial serial numbers include frame, trigger guard, backstrap, cylinder, cylinder pin, barrel, loading lever, and wedge. The cylinder retains all five original nipples with nearly complete safety pins. The Indian stagecoach robbery scene is near mint. Barrel has New York City address, frame is stamped "COLTS PATENT". CONDITION: The stamps and trigger guard retain approximately 98% original silver plating. The varnished one piece walnut grips are near mint with a couple of minor dents, retaining nearly all of the original finish. Screw heads are near perfect and still retain the majority of their original nitre blue. Flashes of case color on frame. Cylinder retains 95% original factory finish, with the barrel approximately the same, with some very minor high edge wear. Strong case covers on loading lever. Near mint bore and action. It is immediately obvious that this near mint 1854 revolver has seen very little use and would be nearly impossible to improve upon.
