A great little French pinfire with 4" barrel and 3-3/4" spear point folding bayonet. Most of these bayonet pinfires are not original, this one is 100% genuine. The bayonet is properly attached and has an elaborate mechanism and spring for folding flat against the left side of barrel. The octagonal barrel with high raised steel foresight and "(star) S" proof on right barrel flat. Push-through ramrod on right side. Engine turned hammer with knurled thumbpiece. Finely checkered flared exotic wood grips. Trigger engine turned en suite with hammer. Lanyard ring at butt. Cased in its original green felt lined case with bullet mold, turnscrew, and ramrod. CONDITION: Bright polish metal. Grips are excellent. Bayonet is bright and crisp. Excellent bore. Action is crisp and works properly. Case with some minor fading to green lining, but overall would rate excellent.
