This pistol of exhibition quality with sculpted hexagonal muzzle and hexagonal breech, inlaid with silver strapwork signed in gold "Tourey a Liege". Hammer engraved on back. Trigger guard and butt engraved en suite. The ebony halfstock carved and fluted at forend and butt. Pistol overall is 15". Ebony veneered cased with lid, inlaid with strapwork, escutcheon with initials "CC". Case lined in red velvet with gold Tourey address in lid. Ivory mounted accessories include capbox, ramrod, and turnscrew. CONDITION: Pistol is preserved in superb, pristine condition throughout retaining nearly 100% of its original bluing. Ebony stock with virtually no damage, only a few minor marks. Bore is mint. Case lining is near mint, minor damage to front of case where it has been pried open sometime in the past. Otherwise, a magnificent set with vertical lid and one of the finest Flobert pistols we have seen.
