The 5-1/2" massive round barrel with top flat, signed "LONDON". Engraved breech with barrel with silver foresight. Signed front action bolted lock with push-on safety, signed "MORTIMER". Engraved with springs of foliage and tombstone style border. Hammer engraved en suite with lock, ending in a dolphin. Finely checkered hammer spur. Trigger guard engraved en suite with pineapple finial with engraved steel buttcap. Finely figured walnut fullstock with horn forend. Stirrup rammer. Pistol is 11" overall. CONDITION: Heavy .79 caliber barrel with period brown retains much finish with some minor pitting under brown. Lock is clean, mostly bright metal, with some minor pitting on face of hammer and towards tail of lockplate. Trigger guard mostly grey metal with some wear to engraving. Stock with minor wear to checkering but good overall. Stirrup rammer pitted on face. Action is excellent. Bore is good with some minor pitting. A most unusual pistol.
