Barrels of Spanish form with elaborate inlay of flowers and silver strapwork, a single Fleur-de-Lis and vacant poincon. Spanish form locks are plain with only rudimentary engraving on top jaw. Molded frizzens. Steel trigger guards with rudimentary floral engraving en suite with flat steel buttcaps. 5-1/2" long steel belt hooks emerge from the sideplate. Walnut fullstocks with chip carved checkering and molded forend. CONDITION: Barrels have traces of what appears to be original blue finish. Silver inlay mostly intact with some damage as a result of pitting on breeches. Mounts are mostly steel grey with one buttcap slightly pitted. Stocks are good with attractive deluxe grain and only minor marks. Ramrods appear to be original to the pistols. Locks with some minor pitting, more pronounced on one pistol. Miquelet actions work well with very strong mainsprings. Heavily pitted bores. An attractive pair of silver inlay Miquelet pistols that are all original.
