This most attractive and interesting Schutzen single shot pistol has an adjustable rear sight, much like the beloved rifles of pre-World War II German target shooters and an oversized ramp front sight with large ears protecting the insert. The round barrel, crowned at muzzle, is set into an engine turned breech. Left side of frame with light engraving marked "Gesetzlich Geschutz (Patent Pending)" and "GS 8126". The action is worked by lifting a lever at the rear of frame which automatically extracts the fired shell and cocks the hammer. Elaborate Schutzen style trigger guard with double set trigger. The forend is of wood, beautifully checkered, in a panel reminiscent of a deluxe Winchester. The grip itself, beautifully checkered in a panel. 14" overall length. CONDITION: Barrel retains much original blue finish, rear sight retains much original nitre bluing and case colors. Blued frame retains much finish though slightly dulling. Trigger guard retains most of its original case colors. Action retains some color case hardening. Wooden stocks retain much original varnish with some minor marks. Action works perfectly, double set triggers function as they should, bore is excellent and bright. A most interesting, rare, and attractive Schutzen pistol sure to please the collector of oddities or vintage target pistols.
