Lot consists of: Gun (A) with beautiful 9" Damascus barrel with pronounced pattern, signed in gold on top flat, fixed front and rear sights. Pistol "1" in gold at breech. Left side of barrel with ELG (Liege proof). Front action locks with fine floral engraving on stepped plates. Hammer spur is finely checkered, engraved en suite. Trigger guard appears to retain nearly all of its original bluing. Skull crusher butts with floral engraving. Finely figured and beautifully carved walnut half stocks with carved and fluted butts. Gun (B) is in substantially identical condition with "2" at breech and minor erosion to sidenail screw and escutcheon. 16" overall length. CONDITION: All metal in fine condition, engraving is crisp, as new. Very minor rusting on skullcrusher buttcap of one pistol, easily removed. Set trigger works perfectly on Gun (B), (A) requires minor adjustment. Finely rifled bores are excellent. Crisp actions on both pistols. Wood is in excellent condition with only minor marks. A fine pair of German retailed pistols, well worthy of a case.
