Lot consists of: A pair of pistols with 5-3/4" Spanish form barrels, cannon muzzles. Patila locks with sparsely engraved hammers and plain frizzens. Frizzen retaining plates engraved en suite with hammers. Ring form screws. Brass furniture, nicely engraved. Both pistols have original belt hooks, walnut full stocks, molded and carved. Silver thumbpieces are cast and chased with design. Spurred brass buttcaps with grotesque masks now absent. 10-3/4" overall. CONDITION: Good overall with exception of missing mask buttcaps as noted and damage to one silver thumbpiece. Other thumbpiece with minor damage. Metal is clean and could be improved. All small parts appear to be the original, furniture is all original except as noted. Both belt hooks are good. Ramrods fit but are probably not original. Actions require adjustment as the cocks will not cock, but mainsprings are strong. Good bores. A very attractive pair of Spanish Miquelet belt pistols.
