This dated advertising piece was put out by the Nobels Explosive Co. that was a German chemical and weapons company whose headquarters is in Troisdorf, Germany. It was founded in 1865 by Alfred Nobel. In 1876, Nobel's company became a limited liability company and was renamed Dynamit AG. Dynamit Nobel grew by acquiring smaller competitor companies to become the biggest explosive manufacturer in Europe. They are also credited with the invention of dynamite, the single most important invention as it relates to mining and road construction. The poster features the lovely Nobel girl as she was known, armed with her trusty double and clutching a pheasant. A fabulous stone litho that measures 13 - 1/2" by 25" not counting the vintage period frame. CONDITION: Aside from some minor age spotting, this poster is in excellent all original condition with no inpainting of any kind. Nor is there any fading, tears or folds. A brilliant gunpowder advertising poster and, as always, any such ad featuring a female is desirable. This sign is framed behind glass and is on thick card stock. It has some soiling and should be professionally cleaned. There is no other signs of wear and this piece displays well above average.

Item Dimensions: Framed: 28 - 3/4" x 15 - 3/4".
