Classic carving knife and two tined fork from the dean of custom knife makers, William Scagel (1873-1963). This knife is a classic Scagel with 12-1/4" slight up-swept point blade, angled brass guard, and stacked leather, hard rubber, and brass spacers in the handle with deer antler pommel. Right side of the blade is marked “W. SCAGEL / HAND MADE” and has his Kris logo on the right ricasso. This set 2 piece carving set with stacked handles and stag pommels has an overall length knife 17-5/8" with blade length 12-1/4". Fork overall 13-5/8" with Kris marking on front. CONDITION: Very Fine with narrow stain on cutting edge of knife. Handles are near pristine, and set shows no actual use. This set was purchased directly from William "Bill" Scagel and was consigned to us by the original purchasers family and has never been offered for sale prior. TDW
