This is a late Third Model with matching numbers on frame, trigger guard, backstrap, cylinder pin, cylinder, and barrel. Wedge is not numbered. Inspector stamps on grips have worn smooth and are not readable. Left side of frame is stamped "US". Other inspector stamps include "U" on trigger guard, "H" on backstrap and cylinder, "A" on barrel. New York barrel address. Has the standard brass small trigger guard, brass backstrap. CONDITION: Brass has not been cleaned. All metal is a soft, grey patina. Sharp legends. Muzzle is slightly rounded from holster. 80% cylinder battle scene; nipples appear new, no safety pins. Very good to excellent oil finish walnut stocks, shy at toe. Sharp screw heads. Well cared for, early, pre-Civil War US production Colt.
