DST. Wow! What an incredible piece of early tire advertising from Vacuum Cup Tires. One of the most graphic and beautiful signs in all of tire advertising, and one of very few known examples. Side one shows excellent color and gloss, with a clean graphic of the driving woman. There are a couple of light areas of paint loss near the outer edge of her face, as well as seven to eight areas of minor paint loss in the field. The outer field and along the outer edge show some moderate wear, but overall very minimal for a sign of this age. The non-skid spinner attachment shows heavy wear at the bottom left, but the rest of the sign has great color and gloss, with minimal wear. Side two shows heavy wear along the bottom edge to the middle of the sign, with almost no visibility, but remarkably the face graphic is in excellent condition. This is a truly remarkable sign, and a holy grail piece of tire advertising that rarely comes up for sale. The only examples of this sign we have seen have been worn on the backside. Sign is maker marked "The H.D Beach Co." with a patent date of 1907. An incredible piece of advertising.

Condition: (8.0+ & 5.0).
