This very nicely appointed custom rifle has 26" tapered full length octagon barrel with integral quarter rib grooved for scope mounts. Coin finished action has had transition from receiver ring to sides filed to give a continuous arched line between side panels of stocks. Safety button has been reshaped. Action and ends of barrel are engraved with near full coverage exceptionally well cut and nicely shaded open scroll with acanthus highlights, all within narrow gold inlaid line borders. Borders are doubled on barrel. This fine treatment surrounds relief carved game scenes with nicely detailed backgrounds, major subjects are relief gold inlaid. A gold wolf is pawing through snow in an attempt to reach hiding grouse on left side of action. A lynx hiding behind a stump, is stalking a ground squirrel huddled at its base. This very attractive engraving is by Steve Huff, and trigger guard is engraved "JERRY FISHER" "GUNSMITH" "STEVE HUFF" "ENGRAVER". Beautifully marbled and stump figured European walnut steel trap capped pistol grip buttstock measures 14-1/2" over engraved steel trap buttplate. Stock detailing is very smooth clear and clean, and consists of swept shadow line right hand cheekpiece, ebony forend tip with widow's peak, and point pattern checkering at grip and wrapping around forend. A Leupold M8 - 6x scope with crosshair and dot reticle is in custom mounts. Weight with scope: 9 lbs 6 oz. CONDITION: Excellent, essentially as new, with only a few exceptionally light handling marks in all superb original custom finishes. Bore is excellent. Scope is excellent, but with some light scratches on ocular bell. MGM222.
