Lot consists of: (A) US 1860 pattern cavalry saber, standard configuration. Roby marked, inspected and 1865 dated. CONDITION: Good to very good. Mellow tone to brass hilt. Original leather and wire. Blade muted silver grey with some darker grey spots scattered. Scabbard dark blackish blue with surface brown overall, some light pitting. Drag, rings and throat in place. Blade pad replaced. Gold sword knot in hilt. (B) British 1845 officer sword. No scabbard. CONDITION: Poor to good. Hilt is good. Brass shows mix of bright gold wash with rubbing to underlying toned brass. Sharkskin grip with light wear and wire in place. Crown/VR in counterguard and with folding inner guard. Blade poor. Brown overall with dim etching. Edge and point are good. Blade is configuration with wide fuller and flat back. (SR)
