Manufactured in 1905, serial number 16093. Barrel marked "RIA 6-05". Springfield "S" marked stock with no cross bolts and early finger grooves. Crisp "CN 1908" in box cartouche. Type I handguard with out groove. Small grooved concave rear sight knobs. Smooth Type II large trap buttplate. Early bolt assembly. Rock Island 1914 sling with split sling swivel. CONDITION: Very fine as properly rebuilt. Bore is very fine and blue finish has faded to a mottled dark grey. Superb "S" marked no cross bolt finger groove stock. The Type I handguard is equally fine. The action operated properly. A very fine Rock Island 1903 in its proper configuration. The stocks are some the finest we have ever observed.
