Three of the following four caps have had names embossed on their leather sweatbands. The caps are original US Navy Admiral's caps with gold bullion leaves on the visors, but we are of the opinion that the names have been added post period.
Consists of: A) Interior marked by the maker "Art Caps", the name "C.W. Nimitz" has been embossed on the sweatband. CONDITION: Excellent. B) Interior marked by the maker "Bancroft", embossed on the sweatband "Thomas C. Kinkaid". CONDITION: Excellent. C) Interior marked by maker "Vanguard", the name "K.R. Turner" has been embossed on the leather sweatband. CONDITION: Interior soiled, leather sweatband fragmented. D) Interior missing its sweatband with interior maker marked "The Viking". CONDITION: Good with areas of staining and wear.
