The following caps have had names embossed on their leather sweatbands. The caps are original World War II US Army officer's caps, but we are of the opinion that the names have been added post period. Consists of: A) Interior marked by the maker "Luxenberg", the name "C. H. Hodges" has been embossed on the sweatband. CONDITION: Very good with a few small holes on the crown. B) Interior marked "Jordan Marsh Company", embossed on the sweatband "Carl Spaatz". CONDITION: Very good showing minor wear. C) Interior marked by maker "Katten & Sons", the name "Brig Gen Lucian D. Clay" has been embossed on the leather sweatband. CONDITION: Good, leather sweatband partially detached and interior showing general wear. D) Interior marked by maker "Pettibone & Co", the name "William H. Simpson" has been embossed on the sweatband. CONDITION: Very good with partially detached sweatband. E) Interior marked by the maker "Sol Frank Co", the name " C.H. Hodges" has been embossed on the sweatband. CONDITION: Excellent. F) Not maker marked, the name "George C Marshall" has been embossed on the sweatband. CONDITION: Very good with a few small holes. G) Illegible maker mark, the name "Gen J. Lawton Collins" has been embossed on the sweatband, stiffener removed. CONDITION: Excellent. H) Interior marked by the maker "Wimbledon", the name "L.C. Baker" has been embossed on the sweatband. CONDITION: Very good, showing moderate service wear. I) Illegible maker mark, the name "Gen G.H. Brett" has been embossed on the sweatband. CONDITION: Very good, the sweatband partially detached. J) Interior maker marked "Luxenberg", the sweatband has been embossed with the name "Gen A.C. Wedemeyer". CONDITION: Very good, the sweatband partially detached. K) Enlisted cap, the sweatband embossed with the name "Sgt Lucian Adams". CONDITION: Very good. L) 1958 book "The Wedemeyer Reports" in very good condition. M) 5" X 8" photograph of General Carl Spaatz in very good condition.
