Four of these US Navy Admiral visor caps have had names embossed on their sweatbands, while the caps are certainly original, we are of the opinion that the names have been added post-period. Lot consists of: A) Tan-Top Admiral's Visor Cap with gold bullion embroidery on the visor, basket weave body, made by Bancroft. The name "Louis E. Denfield" has been embossed on the leather sweatband. Excellent condition. B) Black Wool-Top Admiral's Visor Cap with gold embroidery on the visor, basket weave body, made by Vanguard Military Equipment Co. The name "Adm Wilder B. Baker" has been embossed on the leather sweatband. Excellent condition. C) White-Top Admiral's Visor Cap with gold bullion embroidery on the visor, basket weave body, made by "Art Caps". The name "Burke, A.A." has been embossed on the leather sweatband. Excellent condition. D) White-Top Admiral's Visor Cap with gold bullion embroidery on the visor, basket weave body, made by "Art Caps". The name "John H. Towers" has been embossed on the leather sweatband. The cap shows soiling to the white top and wear to the bullion embroidery. E) White-Top Admiral's Visor Cap with gold bullion embroidery on the visor, basket weave body, made by "Art Caps". Excellent condition. F) 8" X 10" photograph of Admiral Louis Denfield in excellent condition.
