These US Navy Admiral's visor caps have had names embossed on their sweatbands, while the caps are certainly original, we are of the opinion that the names have been added post-period. Lot consists of: A) Tan-Top Admiral's Visor Cap with gold bullion embroidery on the visor, basket weave body, made by Johnson's, Inc. The name " Wm F. Halsey" has been embossed on the leather sweatband. Excellent condition. B) White-Top Admiral's Visor Cap with gold bullion embroidery on the visor, basket weave body, made by Bancroft. The name "A.W. Radford" has been embossed on the leather sweatband. Excellent condition. C) Black-Top Admiral's Visor Cap with gold bullion embroidery on the visor, made by Bancroft. The name " H.R. Stark" has been embossed on the leather sweatband. Excellent condition. D) Black-Top Admiral's Visor Cap with gold bullion embroidery on the visor. The name "Adm E.J. King" has been embossed on the leather sweatband. Good condition, bullion embroidery shows wear and verdergris. E) Green-Top Admiral's Visor Cap with gold bullion embroidery on the visor, made by "Columbia Outfitters". The name "James W. Whitfield" has been embossed on the leather sweatband. Green top shows a few scattered holes, partially detached sweatband.
