William Cashmore company operated in Birmingham from the late 1880's to the early 1900's. Firm was rumored to have made several guns for Annie Oakley. Gun is a double hammer side by side shotgun with Nitro proofed fluid steel blued barrels marked "Wm. Cashmore Maker Birmingham". Case hardened action with "W. Cashmore" in gold on each lock. Tiger grained walnut straight checkered stock with horn buttplate. Walnut splinter type checkered forend with push button release. Silver stock shield on top of comb. CONDITION: 90% barrel blue with bright bores. 50% case colors with some areas fading to brown and some discoloration. Wood has 60% of hand rubbed finish with light handling marks.
