Lot consists of: (A) Model 1832 non-commissioned officer's sword by Horstmann. Features a curved blade with wide, shallow fuller on each side and panels of blued and etched designs as well as engraved arms motifs and foliate motifs. Brass Model 1832 reverse 'P' hilt with brass eagle head pommel. Guard has languettes and is stamped "HORSTMANN" in a cartouche on the front. Re-wrapped brown leather grip with twisted brass wire decoration. CONDITION: Blade has traces of gilt and blue finishes but has scattered areas of heavy corrosion and patina. Sword has some marks from a recent attempt at cleaning on both sides. Hilt retains a dark mustard patina. Grip has been professionally re-wrapped and languettes are bent outward. (B) Model 1832 musician boy's sword. Slightly curved blade with single, wide, partial fuller and 8" false edge. Brass 'D' guard and solid brass rib with integral eagle head pommel. CONDITION: Blade shows a grey patina with some scattered dark spotting. Hilt retains a dark mustard patina with scattered marks from use and some flattening and hammer marks on top of pommel.
